SOFIA ACOSTA

Sofia Acosta approaches design with the same zeal that she approaches life: by embracing the culture, movement, and community around her. Rooted in a strong belief that our environments influence our outlook on life, her designs bring purpose to a space. A career in design was hard to deny with her honest passion for creating spaces that celebrate the interaction between place, product, and user.

 

Sofia’s portfolio spans a diverse range of workplace and higher education projects. Notably, she has played a key role in the interior design of the Wichita Biomedical Campus, a transformative health education facility poised to catalyze future development in downtown Wichita. Beyond her design work, Sofia is deeply engaged in her community and profession. She currently serves as President-Elect of the IIDA Mid-America Chapter and has contributed as a guest speaker and writer for platforms such as Imagine a Place, Madame Architect, and Mid-Journey.
